Melody Wizard incorrectly saved files with Soundlet Count tables larger than 10 (the value was written in decimal, not in hex as it should have been). Thanks go to Richard Preuss for spotting the problem! I also fixed the spacing error in the "Delete Current Melody" dialog. Appologies go to Olivier Philipp, as he pointed this out to me some time ago, but I only just realised that I had not addressed the issue.
Cut/ Copy/ Paste with Windows' Clipboard! The program now uses Windows' clipboard, which means you can copy and paste notes BETWEEN two instances of Melody Wizard! Test Feature Implemented! There is now a test button which will allow you to quickly and easily test the SoundScape as you would any other! (thanks to Jogy George for the idea!) Please read "Whats New" in the inlcuded help file for full info! This program brings new possibilities to SoundScape creation! With advanced functionality and an easy to understand graphical user interface you will soon be able to create a full featured SoundScape in a minimum of time or effort. I have tried to retain the power and flexibility of the file's format, while adding functions and features to help you get the most out of that format. Some of Melody Wizard's features are:
Well, not that I have to sell it to the Datalink Community...! :-) I have linked to the main screenshot as it was kind of big to show here... One feature which is useful is you can save your melodies to individual files, which means you can re-use, re-load, share and save component melodies. A melody is an indiviual string of notes, any number of which can be contained in a SoundScape. The Melody screen looks like:
I have included a number of my original Melodies. No doubt you can quickly save up a collection of your own... The software is powerful and easy to use provided you have an understanding of what a SoundScape is, and what format it comes in. For everyone using my program, particularly those who do not have a good understanding of the SoundScape file format, I STRONGLY recommend reading through my Melody Wizard Tutorial: This will teach you the basics on creating a SoundScape for your watch. I also strongly urge to to read through the included help file... thats why I wrote it! The software REQUIRES an 800 pixel wide screen or better to operate. It will automatically readjust to take advantage of higher resolutions, but Will Not Load it your screen resolution is less than 800 wide. As your screen is probably set to 800 x 600, this should not be a problem for most users.
