Decide how much effort you wish to put in. You will need to decide just how much effort you wish to put in on your CD before you start. You might want extensive menus and submenus, with buttons that do everything. You might want a fully custom interface. Then again, you may not.
It is wise to plan for the realistic effort you will be putting in on the CD. You can then begin at a level which will carry you through the CD. It is worse to start something with extravagent effort, and then seriously taper off before the project is over than it is to apply your energies with moderation through the whole of the project.
It may be that your CD will be relatively simply in format and content and you wish to focus your energies on the interface, or it may be that your CD is large and complex in content and format and you wish to focus your effort on creating a more expansive interface.
