Decide what kind of CD you are producing

In order to make the best CD you can, and the one you will be most happy with, you need to first decide what kind of CD you are creating. This includes deciding what kind of content will be on the CD, how that content is used, and how you will present it to the end user. You should also consider who your users will be. How technically competent are they? You may want to pay particular attention to creating a CD which requires little or no computer literacy from the end user.

You will also need to think about what kind of computers your CD will be running on. Will they be powerful enough to run your content? Will they have the software packages you use already installed? What graphic systems do they have?

After you have decided these issues, then you can design your CD with a much greater understanding of what you hope to achieve.
